Downton Style, Part 2

To the customer who asked me for suggestions on what to wear to a Downton Abbey themed costume party: I’m sorry I drew a blank!

Sure, I steered you to a pair of drop earrings, like one of these:

But I neglected to mention one crucial fact. Late 70’s-early 80’s clothes pretty often drew on 20’s silhouettes, and they make wonderful stand-ins for Downton era costumes. Look for dropped waists, peplums, beading, lace and tiered layers. Have a look at some of these frocks I have in the shop right now.
